The Head of Development role requires an individual who has the balance of a creative and strategic mind set; the drive and ability to “get things done” in challenging and demanding environments. This is a leadership role in the true sense to lead the company’s product development team and work with Development Account Managers, Brand Managers, major retailer partners and key production teams to produce innovative and profitable new products for the market in line with existing and anticipated future food trends.  The role is about instilling a culture of delivering the customer’s brief right first time and adding value to products through innovative and practical solutions.

Our client is flexible in their thinking about your background but ideally you will have experience in food development from for example bakery, desserts, confectionery, ready meals or value added Food To Go.  You will bring a demonstrable track record of leadership and process improvement within a food manufacturing environment. Academically you will be educated ideally to Degree standard or HND as a minimum in a food related discipline.
