The Role

  • Report directly to and working closely with the Managing Director, the role will sit on the Board and senior management team.  Supporting the continued development of the business, with overall responsibility for all customer relationships.
  • Directly overseeing all Sales and Marketing activities and strategies, this post will include the management of an existing commercial team.  The role will also be required to define, deliver and sustain the necessary resource development to enable sustained growth of both established and new markets.
  • The development of the commercial team is essential as is the rigour to review, maintain and improve existing systems and procedures.  Providing new vigour and leadership to an already successful commercial team.

The Candidate

  • An articulate, intelligent and credible individual who must be able to deal with the obvious complexity of the role.  Possessing previous experience and success within a wide ranging, multi-product and multi-channel operation.
  • The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a strong commercial track record of growth and ideally have had positive exposure to an owner-manager environment.  Plus have a determined, energetic and true ‘hands on’ style.
  • Genuine leadership skills and previous experience of successfully leading teams to achieve clear but also challenging goals is essential.  As is the ability to communicate and positively influence and negotiate at all levels, both internally and externally.
