Catman Jobs are looking for a career hungry, commercially astute Senior Category individual to join the Category team within Douwe Egberts (D.E Master Blenders 1753)

Some of their brands include Douwe Egberts, Cafe Noir, Moccona, Senseo and Pickwick Tea.

Douwe Egberts Retail UK is based in Hurley, Maidenhead.  It is a pure play business in the coffee category and is expanding through innovation and new media campaigns. The Role 

Reporting to the Sales Director you will be responsible for product go to market strategy, category management and promotional optimisation across the total grocery and convenience markets. You will lead a team of 3 direct reports who will provide support in the form of category analyses, customer management and shopper marketing. The objective of this role is to promote a collaborative relationship between D.E. Master Blenders and the retailer implementing solid and differentiated customer and shopper marketing plans to realise mutual benefit, contributing to the profitability of the UK business. You will have regular contact with Buyers, Business Managers, NPD teams, Marketing, International Category Teams and external data agencies.

The Individual 

You will be required to share insights with a strong commercial focus in order to provide as much guidance as possible to the business managers who you will work closely with. You must have a track record of developing category relationships and range reviews and demonstrate a mix of commercial, analytical and creative skills. You will need advanced data skills, with proficient use of IRI, Dunnhumby and LMG data in particular. Effective management of business resources, leadership skills and an influential presence are deemed highly appropriate for this role.
