The Company

My client is one of the UK’s largest chilled added value FMCG manufacturers in the UK. Based in the West Midlands, my client operates across the UK in 6 core categories. With a strong reputation for quality, our client is able to drive supply-chain efficiencies and a competitive offering as the UK’s largest ‘Farm to Fork’ supplier in the category. Looking forwards, strong growth is expected on the back of key 5 year contracts signed with major customers and innovation into new categories within the chilled meat snacking sector.  

The Role

As a Customer Marketeer, you will be responsible for category managing a large proportion of the business's Tesco account, within the exciting and dynamic convenience category. With a strong category background, you will be adept at using insights to drive growth and bring together different parties to achieve mutual growth. You will become the advocate for the customer internally and with the customer, you will be the first point of call for advice on growing their business. Long-term, you will be looking for opportunities to develop business with the customer and tighten the partnership between the two groups.

The Person

You will already be in a category manager's role, working on a top four grocery multiple with an own-label focus, preferably in a chilled category. You will be adept at building consensus and facilitating strong relationships. A lynchpin across different functions, you will be expected to spin lots of plates to ensure that different teams pull together. You will be looking to develop and broaden your category understanding of chilled food and will be hungry for a step into a bigger role.
