New York Bakery Company is the market leader in UK bagels with great retail presence and an enviable reputation for category development and innovation. With a multi £bn international parent company behind us, substantial investment including a new £12.5m UK production facility and £3.0m of above the line marketing support, we’re now primed for significant future growth.
To help us achieve this we’re looking for a top-level account manager to build branded and private label sales with one of our most important clients – Tesco – and be capable of rapidly moving up to Account Controller status.
We’re looking for an experienced commercial professional to focus primarily on developing brand volume through an integrated, cross-functional approach working across all elements of the supply chain with full P+L responsibility.
Capable of working with the customer to build creative and detailed business plans, you’ll also need the drive and determination to see these through to fruition. Key to this will be strong negotiation, relationship building and cross functional project management skills underpinned by a collaborative, resilient and resourceful style.
You could currently be a SNAM looking for the next step up or an account controller looking to change gear and give yourself some brighter prospects.
Either way, a track record of profitable sales growth with a Top 4 Grocery Retail Multiple gained in a Food or Drink environment is essential, ideally supported by both branded and own label product experience. A sound knowledge of working with joint business plans (JBPs) is also important.
Reporting to the Head of Retail Sales, you can either work from our Southern-based office or from home, but being prepared to work at least two days a week from this office.
