Home to some of the UK's leading dairy brands, including Cravendale, Anchor, Lurpak and Tickler, Arla Foods is the UK's number one dairy company. Also supplying a full range of fresh dairy products to the major retailers and food service customers, Arla has an annual turnover of £2 billion. Not only that, but Arla is also the UK's number one cheese manufacturer and the largest supplier of butter and spreads. Behind this leading global business, is a UK team of 4000 colleagues located across our dairies, distribution centres and head offices, ensuring that more than 4000 daily deliveries are made to stores and regional distribution centres. So if you've poured some of the nice cold white stuff over your bowl of breakfast cereal today or had cheese on toast for your evening snack, chances are you've already experienced Arla!

These are exciting times here at Arla. Due to our recent merger and continuing business growth, we are looking to recruit a Senior Retail Brand Manager to take strategic leadership of a key product category for Arla Fods, developing a 3-5 year strategy in line with the business growth ambitions and customer strategy whilst ensuring that the business effectively implements all key activities against agreed customer business plans.

Developing a long term 3-5 year Retail Brand Strategy with clear vision and plans in order to deliver business goals and ambitions, you will be responsible for the key strategic alignment with the customer strategy, brand platforms, category vision and very importantly operational strategy and initiatives.

In order to deliver immediate business goals and commitments and ensure future growth across the plan you will provide the leadership of consumer understanding and insight for the category area whilst driving business activity.

You will be responsible for the development of the Retail Brand NPD pipeline through consumer and shopper insight, leading key agency relationships as required. You will provide the development of trade promotional strategy and implementation of guidelines in collaboration with sales and shopper marketing, identifying and developing new channels. Within this role you will also be responsible for the development and approval of the commercial business case for CAPEX investment and the co-ordination of venture brands or creamery identities as part of the retail brand platforms.

To be successful in this role you will have significant brand and/or Retail management experience within FMCG and a proven track record of effective marketing management and results. You will hold a business or bachelor degree and have direct experience within UK grocery trade, specifically top four accounts (including strategy development, annual plan development, presenting and engagement). Good communication skills are essential for this position along with the ability to work well with others as part of a team. You will be creative, confident and outgoing with a true passion for brands.

In return you can expect a competitive salary and benefits package and the opportunity to work for a forward thinking, progressive organisation that recognises and rewards talent.
