Our client is a much-loved manufacturer of household food brands familiar to us all. Recognised for their heritage and strong association with natural and healthy product ranges, their brands hold significant presence among the shelves of all major grocery, convenience and discounter outlets across the UK.
Demonstrating healthy growth, recently supported by the acquisition of another well-known brand portfolio, the business offers a profitable and optimistic platform for future growth.
Following a recent internal promotion, the business is looking to appoint a new Sales Director. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will assume complete responsibility for sales strategy across the business.
Whilst leading a number of direct and indirect reports across different customer channels, you will be tasked with implementing sales strategy and plans to achieve annual profit targets in line with business objectives.
You will be required to drive market share across multiple categories by maximising development opportunities, working closely with the Marketing Director on key initiatives.
You will also be required to maintain and develop customer relations and influence category performance, whilst driving incremental sales turnover and profit growth.
In order to succeed in this role it is important that applicants have demonstrable success whilst operating within recognised branded food / beverage manufacturing arenas.
Strong knowledge of grocery retail channels is vital, whilst an understanding of convenience and discounter channels would also prove supportive in your application.
A resilient and strong personality/character would be considered in a favourable light, with strong leadership qualities being of great importance.
