Pourshins & Supplair are gategroup companies working side by side in the airline industry. Pourshins is a fourth-party logistics provider, managing the complex supply chain between suppliers, caterers and airlines. Supplair offers one-stop shopping for customized and disposable food and beverage solutions to enable airlines to offer the right food and packaging solutions onboard their flights.
We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Development Manager for London to be at Heathrow. The key purpose of this role is to meet or exceed sales & profit targets for the region by developing and delivering business strategies for retaining and increasing sales to current airline customers and winning new business opportunities. You will work within company plans and investment parameters to deliver sales and account contribution, whilst liaising with the Operational team to ensure effective service delivery for customers. It will be your responsibility to drive the negotiation and strategy with key accounts and lead the growth of commercial relationships for Pourshins & Supplair in the region. You will conduct market research to ensure innovative ideas and cutting edge products that appeal to our customers, deliver performance, financial and volume forecasting and reporting for the accounts, and over time will build, develop and manage local teams.
To be successful in this position you will have a proven track record in strategic sales, commercial account management or business development. You will possess strong commercial awareness alongside outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the power to influence and build relationships at all levels. You will be highly numerate, with a good understanding of data and business analysis reporting. Ideally you will have experience within catering/ food/ logistics markets and/ or an understanding of the airline industry, but this is not essential. Attitude and behaviors are key – we are looking for a driven individual who is passionate about what they do and will make things happen to win business in an area with huge potential for growth. You will be self-motivated, resilient and results focused, with a positive outlook and creative vision to drive the business forward.
Due to the nature of this role you must be able to work flexible hours and prepared to travel approximately 60%, within the UK and Ireland.
