With its heritage beginning with Aspen Field Marketing which was founded in 1975, its first major change was when it was purchased by American company DVC Worldwide in November 2002, DVC Sales was born. November 2004 saw the management team successfully complete an MBO and so was independent once again. Not one for standing still, it purchased direct marketing specialist Channel Marketing Solutions (CMS) in December 2005. The acquisition is in keeping with the company’s declared strategy of becoming a complete customer contact business. To reflect the changes and to embrace its client offering it rebranded as Reach in August 2006. Gary Mac Manus, Joint Managing Director explains: “The word reach is clearly defined as ‘succeeding in contacting or communicating with and having an effect on’ which is exactly what our business aspires to do. It is also synonymous with achieving and gaining. When you combine it with the application of skill, initiative and ambition we believe it reflects exactly what we do.”Reach has long established relationships with Nestlé (30 years), Vodafone (ten plus), and other notable clients include Britvic Soft Drinks, Coors, Energizer, Nintendo, Premier Foods and Sony Ericsson.
