Area Sales Manager - North and North East England

£30-35k basic + 5k bonus + quality german car + excellent benefits

The Company

 fantastic role within a globally recognised market leading German manufacturer. The business is highly successful and operates in 180 countries manufacturing a range of high quality DIY and professional products. They are ambitious and looking to recruit up to 4 staff next year as they launch a range of products into the UK.

The Role 

If successful you will manage a large geographic territory which includes North and North East England that stretches up to the Scottish border.  This will require a one or two nights away on a regular basis.  You will be calling upon a large potential customer base that includes engineers, end users and also independent retailers.  The business very much leaves the day to day decision making up to the ASM so you will require your experience to determine your planning and subsequent call cycle. You will be given a day at home to organise yourself on weekly basis.  There is also the possibility that if you are successful that the role could develop further into National Accounts Management over the next few years.

The Profile

You will ideally have experience of selling a non-food FMCG product to independent retailers, preferably with a product that has some mechanical or technical aspect. An experienced field sales professional you will adaptable, efficient and have some experience of managing yourself in a large territory. My client feels that you will ideally be located in or around the M62 area as this is predominately where most of the existing business is located.  You need to be able to make decisions and driven to make new business calls as you will effectively be working quite independently.

The Remuneration

c.£30-35k with £5k bonus.  Quality German company car.  Mobile, laptop, telephone, pension and 25 days holiday (2 extra after 1 years’ service).
