DCS is the UK’s official sales and distribution company for P&G, Gillette, Unilever, Colgate, SC Johnson, Osram and more and we are looking to recruit a dynamic National Account Manager with experience in Cash and Carry or delivered wholesale.

The successful candidate must have experience of dealing with the wholesale sector both locally and nationally. You must have a strategic approach to driving growth through promotional planning and evaluation, range reviews and targeting white space opportunities, whilst ensuring excellent return on investment.

This role is a national role and is home based but travel to Stratford-upon-Avon on a regular basis is expected.   DCS is a Top 250 private company in the UK – if you wish to be part of our exciting journey, we look forward to hearing from you.

Key Tasks:

 

  • To provide a sales service to meet the needs of DCS, at a most efficient and cost effective manner for achieving DCS objectives.
  • To build sales with both existing and potential customers by building relationships through regular meetings both face to face and by phone.
  • To work as part of a National Accounts team to develop the sales department for the benefit of the organisation as a whole.
  • Responsible for the effective selling of standard and promotional products as specified by DCS.
  • To analyse sales figures and produce effective reports and distribute internally.
  • To develop and understand knowledge of DCS competitors and their products and offers to enable DCS to be able to respond to the changing market place in which it operates.
  • To have an in depth knowledge of product ranges to be able to advise and provide in depth information to customers.
  • Building long-term relationships with customers by understanding their needs and requirements.
  • Managing internal processes to ensure all customer KPI’s are met i.e. service levels
  • Utilising DCS internal services to Maximise customer potential

  • Ability to hold and attend effective sales meetings.
  • Ability to take on and retain in depth product knowledge and information.
  • Knowledge/understanding of warehousing environment.

  • Qualification requirements:

  • Computer literacy to an intermediate level
  • Educated to degree calibre.
  • Minimum of 5 years commercial sales experience.
  • Full Driving Licence
