Hudson James Human Capital Group are currently partnering with one of the largest food manufacturing businesses in the UK on a number of interesting opportunities. Our client is a diverse business who have relationships with a variety of retailers across the UK and Europe. They manufacture a variety of highly innovative food products and are category leaders when measured against their competitors.

This is a role for someone who is keen to move to develop their career rapidly to controller level within the next 12 to 24 months and have genuine opportunity to achieve board level status in the next five years.

As Senior Commercial Manager you will be working across the Chilled Division predominantly across 100m t/o account with M&S. This will be a customer focused role where you will be putting their interests first in order to fulfil the commercial strategy and drive forward the growth in Net Sales Value. In the role you will be an integral part of the senior management team you will have a Commercial Executive reporting into you; and reports directly into the Commercial Director.

You will be responsible for strengthening the customer facing team by ensuring year on year growth is ahead of the competitors; there for excellent commercial awareness and market knowledge is vital in order to meet the customer’s needs; as well increasing the market share.

You will also be working closely with the NPD team and advising them on trends in the market; and ensuring that the customer’s wants and needs are being met and their best interests are put first. You will be in charge of developing a promotional plan as part of a 12 month customer plan.

The ideal candidate will have experience as; National Account Manager, Senior National Account Manager, Commercial Manager, Senior Commercial Manager, Key Account Manager, Senior Key Account Manager, Business Manager, Senior Business Manager, Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager, Customer Development Manager, Senior Customer Development Manager, Account Manager, Senior Account Manager.

To be successful in the role it is essential you have previous experience across the Chilled division at a management level within a sales team as well as excellent working relationship with M&S.
