Our client is a successful food business. They are a growing business who are very much a leader in their product category. The business has an exciting range of high quality food products that they supply into the UK’s major retailers.

They are looking to expand their commercial team with a Category & Marketing Assistant.

The Role

Category & Marketing Assistant

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Compile retailer data reports & where appropriate produce recommendations
• Regular store visits to check displays, implementation of marketing plans and update business with photos and reports
• Manage in-store sampling activity and any store related projects as requested by retailers
• Support Category team in weekly tasks and ad hoc workstreams eg category plans, seasonal reviews
• Responsible for updating Intranet & Extranet, including weekly sales report
• Support organisation of conferences as required
• Creation of grower profiles and maintenance of these ongoing

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Report compilation and data entry
• Supporting both function’s daily and weekly tasks as required.
• Visiting stores to check display standards and implementation.
• Extranet/Intranet updates plus publication of weekly sales report
• Support PR, Media and Comms officer - media trawl & press circulation
• Specific project work as required
• Collate responses to Spring & Autumn conferences & help organise functions
• Organise sample requests & manage in-store sampling
• Collating grower profiles and maintenance of the data
• Ad hoc duties as requested

The Candidate

• Category/Marketing experience within food or fmcg.
• Ideally degree educated.
• Excellent communication skills.
