This is a NEW ROLE in leading Sydney based Global FMCG with brands everybody loves and brand success that is engaging and inspiring the team in Australia and globally.

Reporting to the Head of Category and working alongside the sales, marketing, category, activation, consumer insights teams, this role will lead the Shopper function to enhance brand and category programs and positively influence shopper behaviour.

You will build and roll out technical shopper capability programs within the Category, Marketing and Sales Teams and be accountable for supporting the development and measurement of shopper initiatives across all categories and channels. 

To champion the building of Shopper capability and understanding throughout the organisation.

Ensure focus on Shopper engagement across all channels and categories and guide strategic decision making across the organisation.

• The principal actionables:

  • Responsible for the acquisition, interpretation, development and dissemination of Shopper Insights
  • Develop the Shopper Vision for the Retailer
  • Determine Shopper Retail Activation Plans/ Shopper Marketing requirements & Measurement
  • Lead the analysis and interpretation of  Check out data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Representing the voice of the shopper to internal sales teams; supporting the ongoing education of internal teams to ensure that strategic business decisions are driven by a fully integrated, thorough and insightful understanding of brands and Retailers shopper base.
  • Identifying critical shopper knowledge gaps and fill them by designing and executing primary insight projects to meet business issues within the shopper insights budget.
  • Managing external suppliers to execute research projects efficiently.
  • Working closely with Category Management and Retail Activation teams to translate insights into actionable solutions.
  • Working in cross-functional teams with Marketing, Sales, Category Management, research companies and creative agencies. Communicating shopper insights in a clear and concise manner.
  • Determine Shopper KPI measures to feed into Annual Plans.
  • Provide effective, actionable insights that are focused supporting plans with the retailers.
  • Develop Insights of Shopper Missions by Channel & Customer 
  • Utilise these insights to determine specific shopper behaviours and measurement.

Additional Responsibilities include :

Retail Activation, Strategy Development, Online Channel Strategy Development, Budget Management

  • You will demonstrate strong expertise uncovering and developing shopper insights and have excellent research analysis ability.
  • This role would suit someone with solid shopper insights experience, gained either in-house or within an agency environment.
  • This is a great opportunity to embed technical shopper insights expertise through inspiring and providing support to category, sales and marketing teams.  

 

To be successful in this role you may possess:

  • Significant Shopper Insights experience within the FMCG and/or food & beverages market in the top 6 UK accounts 
  • Degree qualifications in Marketing, Business or a related discipline 
  • Proven success in translating shopper insights into breakthrough initiatives Excellent coaching skills and the ability to constructively challenge others Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to work cross functionally The culture of personal achievement and passion at this company provides the opportunity for a fulfilling career.
