Job Details
A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a leading food FMCG business in the South East. They are looking for a high profile category manager to be responsible for branded and own brand product into Waitrose & Marks & Spencer.
This role will involve a very close, deep and advisory relationship with both retailers, a full & commercial understanding of all the categories involved including recommendations for NPD.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement category marketing vision & strategies
- Implement bespoke retailer engagement plans that drive category growth and achieve commercial targets
- Implement added value NPD that drives category growth
- Implement key business projects e.g. promotional and format strategies
- Use retailer, consumer and category insight to develop best in class category management insight, strategies and recommendations.
This is a high profile role and will suit an experienced high level category manager ideally with experience in food. A lot of this role will be down to behaviours of the candidate:
- Excellent communication skills & relationship development
- Strong analytical & insight experience
- Own brand experience an advantage
- Strong & confident presentation skills
- An ability to work under pressure managing various tasks at one time
- Would suit a ‘foodie’ and someone interested in the sector
