As an international business that operate within the toys category, our client is has turnover of over $300m globally. Established over 30 years ago, they are a strong, stable business that are growing rapidly on both a UK and international basis. With offices across the world and their own manufacturing capabilities, they produce branded, own label and licensed products and supply a broad range of national retailers across a number of different channels. With over 3000 employees internationally and over 55 of them based in the UK office, they are looking for an International Sales Manager to join the team.
As International Sales Manager within this global toy business, you will be tasked with developing the strategy for International sales within the business. Your territory will cover Europe, Middle East, South Africa and Australia. The international business within a number of the countries you will cover is already well established, requiring account management and development of customer relationships to grow these areas. You will be responsible for a strong new business strategy to target and develop less established territories and have full support of a team of 3 to assist you in your successes. Across the range of branded, own label and licensed products, you will be the driver of the international sales team and be responsible for the development of a territory with a value which is already set to grow to £25m in the next 5 years due to other areas of business development. You will be expected to grow with the business and contribute to the successes of this globally expanding toy business.
To be considered for this excellent opportunity you must have a knowledge and appreciation of the toy industry, with experience in licensed products also giving you a strong advantage. Experience in an international sales role within the toy, gift or licensed product industries is seen as essential. Due to the restrictions on certain licensed products being sold internationally, a knowledge of this is important, with experience dealing with a variation of territories across you career being key to success. Knowledge and experience of both distributors and direct to retail sales would also be advantageous.
