A National Account Manager (NAM) is required to drive the growth of the Food Service channel of a food ingredients company. This is an opportunity to build your own team within this channel utilising your existing knowledge and contacts with fast casual and other QSR groups.

The National Account Manager Food Service is responsible for sales to the fast and quick service restaurant (QSR) sector in the UK. This is a key role which will require the development of a robust sales strategy targeting the end users in this market such as McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc. rather than food distributors. The key aim for this role is to develop new customers and as the food service sales grow you will have the opportunity to build a team around you. This role will report directly to the UK Managing Director who is based at offices in the East of the country but can be a home based position.

Requirements:
  • Development and implementation of sales strategy
  • Prepare annual budgets by account and product
  • Work with development chefs and marketing team to deliver product presentations to end users
  • Negotiate with customers to secure new contracts
  • Understanding of food product development


The ideal person for this role will already possess an extensive network within the food service sector and have the ability to reach key contact within procurement and development teams. A background in food science or similar would greatly benefit your ability to work with development teams on custom product offerings. As a home based role you must be highly autonomous and entrepreneurial in your approach and flexible with regards to regular travel.
