Innovation Packaging Manager

This is one of the most exciting opportunities in the UK FMCG market for a true innovator of packaging solutions to join a blue chip food manufacturer and leader in category. This business is at the forefront of the UK Grocery market and is a sought after employer within the region.

Reporting in to Group Head of Innovation, you will develop new ideas for packaging formats and worked closely with NPD/EPD teams to combine coherency on product and packaging strategy. You will investigate packaging routes, with consumers & shoppers whilst assessing commercial feasibility internally, at co-manufacturers and/or co-packers; and with packaging suppliers (process, and materials). You will work with cross-functional internal/external teams to deliver precise execution, from project initiation to launch.

The successful candidate will have the following criteria:-

* A proven track record in FMCG manufacturing and packaging solutions
* Sound experience working in innovation packaging within the food industry and knowledge of the Food 'On-The-Go' channel
* The ability to work with cross-functional teams and specific evidence of successes working with NPD
* Must be innovative with the ability of creating new ideas that would change the consumer's buying motivations from competitors
* Must be degree educated
* Comfortable with working in the East Midlands on a daily basis
