NAM - Foodservice (Home Based)

A food ingredients and flavourings business is looking for a National Account Manager to manage a portfolio of food service accounts. We are looking for someone who has good contacts within the UK's larger food service companies. The role will be a mixture of account management and new business development.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Reporting directly to the Managing Director of this SME business
• Maintain P&L of your own accounts to drive sales and profitability
• Business development (warm and new business) within target food service companies
• Analyse account performance and make valid recommendations to continually improve performance
• Build solid relationships with other internal departments to ensure plans are delivered on time and in full
• Work closely with the development team to produce bespoke solutions to customers
• Regular travel to Europe will be required

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful company which is currently enjoying sales growth of 25% YoY. The role is home based however you will be required to travel to your customers throughout the UK and be prepared for some monthly international travel to France and Spain. The person we are looking for will be:

• Degree educated (or equivalent) is preferable
• Experienced in national account management within the food service channel
• Ambitious and driven - this role will progress into a larger role with management responsibility
• Passionate about the food industry
• Willing to travel both nationally and internationally

NB French or Spanish language skills would be a bonus but are not essential.
