A food ingredients and flavourings business is looking for a National Account Manager to manage a portfolio of industrial accounts. The role will be selling into NPD and technical teams within large food manufacturers such as Greencore, Bakkavor, Arla and Bernard Matthews.

The role will be a mixture of account management and new business development. You do not have to have sold into the B2B channel before and applications from ambitious individuals with other channel experience will also be considered.

In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the Sales Director on managing the largest industrial accounts
  • Maintain P&L of your own accounts to drive sales and profitability
  • Business development (warm and new business) within target manufacturers
  • Analyse account performance and make valid recommendations to continually improve performance
  • Build solid relationships with other internal departments to ensure plans are delivered on time and in full
  • Work closely with the development team to produce bespoke solutions to customers
  • Regular travel to Europe will be required


This is a great opportunity for someone of graduate calibre to get a lot of responsibility and be able to progress into a managerial role in a company that is growing sales by 25% year on year. The role is home based howeveryou will be required to travel to your customers throughtout the UK and be prepared for some monthly international travel to France and Spain. The person we are looking for will be:
  • Degree educated (or equivalent)
  • Experienced in national account management and some experience of new business development within food, drink, ingredients or flavourings.
  • Ambitious and driven - this role will progress into a larger role with management responsibility
  • Passionate about food
  • Willing to travel both nationally and internationally


NB French or Spanish language skills would be a bonus but are not essential.
