 About the Role

The UK market is a well-developed, competitive environment with a number of large competitors selling to very well developed trade segments. The On Trade consists of over 120,000 licensed premises supplied by a number of large national and many small regional wholesalers. Pernod Ricard UK manages the On Trade through 3 aligned business units - Field Sales, Managed Retail and Route To Market. Although the On Trade Channel in totality has been under pressure in recent years, the markets that Pernod

Ricard operate in, Spirits and Champagne, have remained comparatively buoyant. Thus the channel is an important contributor to the profit of Pernod Ricard in the UK as well as playing a vital role in building the equity of our brands with consumers.

 Key Purpose To maximise availability, visibility and ROS to targeted On Trade customers for Pernod Ricard strategic brands within a designated post code territory.

 Key Responsibilities - Gain new listings across the portfolio to increase distribution

- Gain house pour status in major categories (vodka, gin, rum, champagne)

- Maximise visibility to increase brand awareness

- Conduct staff education to ensure recommendation by driving advocacy

- Evaluate activity to determine effectiveness and measurement of objectives (SMART)

- Attend quarterly Company meetings for brand plans and company performance updates

- Any other reasonable additional duties that may be required from time to time

 Key Relationships

Internally:

- Daily contact with FSM and Channel Administrator for messages and updates

- Regional monthly meeting with FSM and team

- Monthly field training visit with FSM for personal development

- Ad hoc contact with Brand Managers, Customer Marketing Managers and Customer Account

Managers to assist various activities and projects

Externally:

- Retail and wholesale customers (and related trades) to drive brand loyalty and recommendation

- Consumers to inform, educate and sample

About You

Essential Desirable

Qualifications - Degree educated

Experience - Previous industry experience either sales or On

Trade bar background

Preferred Background - Leisure or consumer focused company

- FMCG background

- Wines and spirits industry
