Looking for Business Managers with the potential to fast-track to Controller level – my client is a fast growing FMCG business with a focus on NPD and quality across convenience foods – chilled and ambient. Operating as category captains within the major mults and with major distribution partnerships within Foodservice and International markets, this business is now investing in manufacturing capacity and more importantly – in its people. My client is looking for the best FMCG business leaders to join now at management level. In return, they can offer ‘best-in-class’ training and also structured career development.

The Role

As a Senior Business Manager, you will be responsible for managing the profit and loss for a major retail customer - Tesco. Developing relationships with the senior buying teams at customer head-office will be key to building on recent successes and delivering secure growth through partnership. You will manage the promotional calendar, full trading terms and investment. Importantly, you will launch the innovation pipeline cross-functionally, working with category, NPD and marketing to ensure that a holistic approach is taken towards delivering your business plans with the customer.

The Person

You will already be operating as a Commercial Manager working on a top four grocery multiple; and with an exceptional track record of growing your accounts, you will have no problem with negotiating price rises. Giving to get and grow will be crucial to your approach with the retailer. You will be looking to develop and broaden your category understanding of chilled food and will be hungry for a step into a bigger role.
