Senior Category Manager - Tesco

This branded food business are leaders in major food categories, their brands are remarkable iconic brands that will resonate with every family in Great Britain today.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Category Manager for a leading branded blue chip company; this role will be working in line with the Tesco account.

The purpose of this role is to develop strategic shopper focussed partnerships with customers through driving shopper insight into action to deliver category growth and sales.

Using insight to customise category value drivers and co-create bespoke shopper solutions across range and space, promotions, formats, shopper marketing and retail execution to ensure category growth.

This role will be managing a team of 2 direct reports.

Previous Experience

• Proven category management experience in a major FMCG manufacturer, with a focus on directly influencing customers and their plans
• Experience of grocery multiple accounts
• Analytical skills with the ability to transform data into insight, recommendations and results
• Excellent knowledge of both continuous data and ad hoc shopper research
• Experience and knowledge of Kantar, Nielsen, HIM, and loyalty card data
• A strategic thinker
• Strong influencer with solid communication skills
• Energy and enthusiasm
