An exciting opportunity in the FMCG arena, with one of the country’s most reputable companies, international food manufacturers and brand leaders.

With the company and product portfolio having a great couple of years of growth, they are looking to add a Commercial Manager to their developing structure, to focus on one of company’s flagship grocery accounts.

Reporting to the Grocery Controller, the role will manage the continued profitable growth of a portfolio of existing product range within the account  as well as making sure the joint business plans are sustainable and secured for the long term. The vision for the role is that of either a National Account Manager looking to further their experience by stepping up to look after a company’s principle account, or an individual who wishes to further their experience at this level.

Exceptional negotiation skills are required, which will come from a strong sales background in ideally a Blue Chip FMCG environment. An entrepreneurial, self starter, who can influence at the highest of levels will be successful in this role. Success at implementing JBPs with at least one of the big four grocery multiples is essential. As a key aspect of this role will be daily interaction with other functions within the business, applicants will need to demonstrate success in working as part of a cross functional team.

You must be a driven, proactive thinker, with a high level of initiative. Furthermore have the ability to analyse and interpret market patterns, the result being an insightful individual – best placed to utilise business strengths. Strong interpersonal skills are a given, with the applicant needing to be able to make an impact in order to build successful relationships. The successful candidate will be degree educated with a strong understanding of the grocery trade.
