Job Details

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced National Accounts Business Development Manager with extensive Fresh Produce experience with an innovative and growing start-up company.  We are looking for an outstanding sales professional with a strong track record in new business acquisition to build a strong client base and manage these accounts. Initially working with discount retailers, you will soon be moving on to the top tier accounts.

The Role:

  • Achieving set sales targets for new business acquisition in the assigned territory (Midlands)
  • Drive significant sales growth in the target market
  • Manage acquired accounts and build strong, long term client relationships
  • Generate strategic sales plans for the territory
  • Effectively and efficiently plan your own day and call list

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent experience with Fresh Produce is essential (minimum of three years)
  • Will have strong experience in new business acquisition (Buyers may also be considered)
  • Will have excellent experience in dealing with major multiples
  • Will demonstrate an innate ability to identify quality prospects and close deals
  •  Will have a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Will enjoy being on the road visiting clients, and happy to put in the miles
  • Will have the ability to self-manage and motivate, without requiring micromanagement or hand holding
  • Will hold a full, clear driver's licence
  • Have a tenacious, organised and self-motivated personality

The successful candidate will not only enjoy a highly competitive salary of £30,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience) + car/car allowance + bonuses, but will also be strategically positioning themselves for future growth. Due to the company’s rapid success since its inception, the successful candidate will be playing a highly instrumental role in the business during a pivotal stage.
