Key Account Manager

Salary: £30,000 OTE £35,000 uncapped

Location: Manchester

Office based role with customer presentations and site visits where necessary No Company car provided – All expenses reclaimed/Hire car optional

 

Blue Spot imports and distributes a range of products via its supply links from the Far East. Currently the company supplies a number of high profile UK retail and wholesale businesses. In addition to our key accounts we also supply product to a number of independent builders merchants, DIY and mixed retailers.

Blue Spot are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join and develop our sales effort, as set out in the Blue Spot Sales & Marketing strategy.

The key account manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with strategically important customers. We expect the candidate to be highly motivated and have a solid background in KAM. You will also be expected to become familiar with the market and help to contribute to and deliver the company message, as well as the agreed sales strategy implemented by the Management Team.

You will be mainly responsible for managing and developing current customers, and building new relationships with new accounts ranging from multi branch High Street independents through to National Account Level. The emphasis is on businesses with multiple sites and high turnover, this is to maximise sales and presence of the Blue Spot brand throughout the UK.

You will be required to submit plans to the Management Team that detail proposals and strategy in line with the goals of the business. The key account manager is required to represent all aspects of the company and its product range as well as help to suggest and develop current and new products that are requested by key accounts or where research is undertaken.

We require the successful candidate to possess excellent networking skills and be focused on developing strong long term relationships. They will be required to generate and qualify leads as well as providing the management with sales reports on a weekly and monthly basis.

As well as the above we also expect the successful candidate to possess excellent Microsoft Office skills and be able to present detailed information in order to progress the companies key accounts.
