Commercial Manager - FMCG

Our client is a young, dynamic and entrepreneurial food company with a strong product portfolio & excellent trading relationships with the major UK grocery multiples.

Following a recent acquisition, they are now recruiting for a Commercial Manager to drive forward sales & profit across the new venture, reporting directly to the major shareholders.

The current venture’s revenue is in the low £millions, but with enormous opportunity to grow via new customers, NPD and enhanced commercial management.  Responsibilities will include contact with current major customers, management of an account executive plus contact with existing and potential new suppliers.

Candidate requirements:

• Working in FMCG within the multiple retail arena with extensive retailer head-office experience
• Experience of working with fish, meat or seafood.
• A demonstrable track record in account development
• Experience of both branded and private label products with a strong understanding of NPD.
• A genuine interest and passion for food
• Graduate calibre, self-motivated, creative, focused, tenacious, financially literate  and commercially aware
