Area Sales Representative – Home and Kitchenware ( Scotland )

Our client has retained us to recruit an accomplished individual to sell their range of luxury home and kitchenware products into independent retail outlets and garden centres in Scotland.

Our client is an established distributor of premium home and kitchenware products throughout Scotland, and they are now looking to recruit an established and accomplished person to help them capitalise on the opportunity. Although there is a well established customer base in Scotland already, approx. a third of your time would be spent prospecting for new business, so it is essential that you have well-polished new business skills, as well as excellent account management abilities..

Ideally you should live within the central belt ( i.e. Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth or nearby ) you will be required to travel extensively throughout Scotland. As you will be working remotely from the head office in the south of England, it is essential that you can self-manage to a very large degree, as there will be little day to day supervision on this role.

The most important things are a ) that you have substantial experience of dealing with independent retailers in the Scottish area ( possibly including garden centres ) and b ) that you are an accomplished sales professional with a track record of success.

Experience of selling to buying groups and their members would also be particularly advantageous ( in particular AIS and / or Home Hardware )

In return for your dedication, our client is offering a basic salary of circa £21k to £24k plus bonus and company car.
