Job Details

Our client is a leading international manufacturer of food products with a diverse product range across multiple categories. Multiple product lines are category leading and all customer channels are supplied. An opportunity has arisen to strategically manage and lead their wholesale/traditional trade channel across the whole of Saudi Arabia through the assigned distributor.

The role reports to the Sales Director and is responsible for the strategic direction of the wholesale channel through our client’s appointed distributor for the KSA market. The position covers the entire Kingdom and involves close management of the distributor sales team to ensure agreed strategic initiatives are being executed with key customers. No regular direct customer interaction is involved, apart from key meetings with some of the larger relationships. The role is based in Jeddah but has national responsibility, travel is expected once or twice a month to areas of KSA.

To be considered for this role it is essential you have previous experience of managing a distributor focusing on the wholesales/traditional trade customer channel ideally for a principle brand organisation. You will be able to clearly demonstrate strategic management of the distributor workforce and how you have ensured agreed execution plans have been implemented. It is preferred you will be working for a principle brand but you may also be considered for the role if you are working within a distributor at a senior management level and can clearly demonstrate the ability to operate strategically in the channel.
