A fantastic opportunity is now available for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join the ever expanding team taking responsibility of continuing the success and growth of the business with its distribution into the Independent sector covering DIY, electrical, lighting and home entertainment.
Working alongside and with the support of the National Sales Manager the successful candidate will take responsibility for managing existing and creating new business within North East and Scotland.
You will be organised, reliable and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of the Independent team to achieve personal, divisional and group targets.
Requirements:
- Experience of field based account management within the DIY and/or Consumer Electrical Channel
- Electrical industry experience would be ideal
- A real passion for sales and exemplary customer service
- Highly self-motivated with a strong desire to exceed targets and achieve KPIs
- The ability to work autonomously as well as being a team oriented person who is willing to support colleagues to achieve goals
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and deal with diverse tasks and work under pressure
- Good numeracy skills
- The willingness to take ownership of projects
- A high level of professionalism in all areas
- Live within the area
Major Duties:
- Manage proactively set territory to identify and convert new business opportunities
- Develop major national accounts at store level
- Develop Independent Builders Merchants
- Work to Increase distribution of Nexus product portfolio
