Business Development Manager - Baking Ingredients

Location: UK


The Role:

Business Development Manager required for specialist baking ingredients manufacturer. This work from home field sales role will involve selling an innovative and diverse range of baking ingredients into food manufacturing and bakeries across the UK. This is a new position in the business due to the companies' continued success and market capitalization.

Reporting to the Head Of Sales, you will have total autonomy in the role, with responsibility for designated sales targets and portfolio growth, enabling you to run your business unit cost effectively ensuring development of your customer base and an increase in growth and distribution.

You will be involved with Branded and Own-Label bespoke products, with involvement in new product development. (NPD)

You will focus on winning new business, together with account managing and developing a base of national accounts. Target driven environment, so the ability to work to and thrive in a target focused role is essential.

You will have a strong commercial focus, with great ability to develop awareness of the company's value chain beyond sales, participate in relationship building and commercial process on the supply side, product pricing and new product development.

Requirements:

Proven sales track record.
Ideally experience in selling to Food Manufacturing sectors.
Ideally related experience: Bakery, Baking, Ingredients etc.
Ambitious, strong self-starters.
Strong new business winner.
Excellent account management skills.
Strong relationship builder.
Strong commercial acumen.
Highly tenacious and proactive.
Target driven.


Package:

Basic Salary: to £40,000
Benefits: Car Allowance Bupa + Pension + Expenses
