Job Title: National Field Sales Manager

My client are one of the UK’s most successful artisan coffee roasters producing quality premium coffee with impeccable ethical credentials. They continue to grow in the UK’s burgeoning “coffee culture” where they have a respected and leading position.

As they grow, exciting opportunities present themselves and they now have one such opportunity for an experienced Field Sales Management professional.

The role is challenging and demanding and involves managing directing and motivating a successful professional team in order to build on previous success within the “boutique” coffee scene in independent coffee shops, HORECA and small group accounts.

This is a classic “people management” role and involves producing results through a field sales team who are based throughout the UK (predominantly South/Central).

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering revenue and growth via the national field sales team of 6+ (and growing).

  • Management and personal development of the team.

  • Working with Account Managers on journey and account planning, as well as building long term relationships with key regional customers.

  • Field accompaniment and in-field support.

  • Strategic input.

  • Ensuring targets for retention, account development and new business are exceeded by individuals and as a group.

  • New business planning.

  • Managing the growth of the team

  • It is unlikely that you will have any direct account responsibility.

It is envisaged that the role will be essentially a field based one and will require knowledge and experience of the coffee industry in the foodservice sector.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Structured commercial, sales and line management background.

  • Track record of developing successful field based teams.

  • Experience of growing teams

  • Strong people skills and coaching ability.

  • Training skills (one-on-one and classroom)

  • Knowledge and experience of sales processes and strategic planning for success.

  • Experience of the coffee industry (essential) preferably boutique coffee shops and HORECA
