Interim National Account Manager – Grocery Channel Top 3 (3 – 6 month contract)


Ideally based within M4 / M40 corridor and one hour commute from Buckinghamshire

To £55,000 + (Bonus Up to 30% ) + Car + Benefits

The Company

Major branded FMCG business with exciting plans for the future. They manufacture a range of instantly recognisable brands, due to an internal restructure they now seek an Interim National Account Manager to manage part of their Grocery channel customers.

Reporting to the Account Controller the role is to develop a business plan and sales strategy that will deliver both profit and growth for this category. The role will include developing relationships cross functionally, driving sales and managing the trade promotional spend, developing retailer category plans ensuring they integrate with company and sector strategy.

Ideal candidates will have a structured FMCG background with experience of the Grocery channel that has provided them with classical sales training and an understanding of the core needs of account management,

An ability to manage negotiations & JBP’s backed up with a grasp of category management is essential.

This role will appeal to candidates who have top 3 experience in the Grocery channel or people who want to step up and be given a top 3 account to manage who have had experience with smaller accounts in the Grocery channel.

The business can mix the classical candidate with candidates who can demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit.
