The Role

You will support the development of brands from a consumer standpoint. There fore, facilitate the implementation of the company operating model through driving the cultural transformation from a brand-centric to a consumer centric organisation.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Generate and contextualise Consumer and market insights and translate them in the actionable business strategies and relevant innovation
  •  Drive portfolio development and enhancement by identifying and capitalising on consumer, market and societal trends and identifying long-term opportunities through use of both quantitative and qualitative research to identify actionable insights.
  • Manage new idea within the funnel stage gate process up to Gate 1 and manage Post launch evaluation. For Specific projects continue supporting concept development beyond Gate 1, as required.
  • Facilitate the cultural transformation from a brand centric to a consumer centric organisation through the strategic integration of research tools such as the global consumer tracking survey (GCTS), Consumer segmentation and brand equity surveys.
  • Work with the EU Cluster research team in actively seeking out concept and project knowledge, learnings and best practices from other markets. Encourage and promote cross-market fertilisation of ideas with key stakeholders locally and internationally.
  • Establish a structured knowledge management process that harnesses consumer and market information to feed the insights generation and innovation processes.
  • Lead, guide and develop the Marketing Research and Consumer Insights function to devise optimum resources (human and financial) in order to attain objectives. This includes the management of market research agency contractual obligations and work load priorities. Managing the consumer market research budget.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the major legal and corporate affairs issue which may impact the industry in order to ensure compliance and anticipative thinking in a changing environment. Lead and ensure in close relationship with the legal teams that all reports and analysis are compliant with local legislation and relevant policies.

 

The Ideal Candidate

You must be degree educated in business, marketing or social science.
Experience in business and consumer focus functions (marketing, research, strategic planning). Experience in sales strategy and trade marketing is a plus. Experience of research agency software solutions (e.g Nielsen, Temple, Pulsar, Powerview etc) a benefit.

 

You must have the following skills:

  • Technical skills (Market research and Marketing)
  • Process and project management skills
  • Strong communication, presentation and reporting skills
  • Facilitation skills (meeting management)
