Job Title: Senior Coffee Trainer

Location: North & Midlands

Sector: Artisan Roasted Coffee

Salary: c£25,000 Neg + Car / Allowance + Benefits

Reference: SJRB/13852

An outstanding opportunity exists within one of the UK’s leading premium artisan coffee roasters for an experienced coffee expert.

My client specialises in roasting and supplying premium quality coffees sourced via direct ethical relationships from small producers. They are known for their high quality artisan coffee, underpinned with high levels of customer support.

Their foodservice business is key to the company and they now have an opportunity for an experienced coffee trainer to join their professional and passionate coffee training team.

The role’s primary function is to maintain a high level of coffee knowledge and expertise within their customer base throughout the foodservice and catering market.

This also includes delivering basic and advanced barista training, designed for operators in the catering and foodservice sector, independents in the market, contract caterers and national group customers in coffee oriented businesses or those where coffee is seen as an important aspect of their offer.

You must be able to act as a “Coffee Consultant” to your clients when called upon to do so, as the company’s Trainers are often asked to act as consultants and advisers in coffee matters.

An element of the role will include working with customers to design training programmes tailored to each company’s individual needs.

There will be a high level of contact with key and corporate accounts, as well as working in the quality independent sector.

The successful candidate will have:

Outstanding barista skills and up to date coffee knowledge.

Training experience from the coffee industry.

A dynamic, outgoing and engaging personality.

Excellent written and verbal communication and confident presentation skills.

Consultative approach.

A high degree of flexibility and strong work ethic.

Passion for the industry and a flair for training.

Strong IT skills.
