Not just another category manager role - a rare opportunity to take significant ownership over the setting up and implementation of category strategy within a leading FMCG business.

Having experienced significant growth within grocery retail in recent years as one of the fastest growing categories, my client are looking for a category management expert to help take their retailer relationships to the next level.

You will be responsible for range review processes across top 6 grocery channels as well as in more specialist environments, utilising your strong insights and category strategy experience to take advantage of the increased shelf space and consumer interest that the category is experiencing.

In an underdeveloped and fast growing area, some of the key traits you will need to be successful in the role include:

  • Demonstrable category management experience within a retail environment
  • Experience of managing the range review process
  • The ability to utilise various data sources to craft insightful, compelling customer stories
  • The drive and confidence to establish category practices and embed them within the business
  • A desire to be a part of a collaborative business culture, with strong training and development opportunities
