Internal Account Manager Roles 

Salary: £23 to £30k dependent on experience

Location: Ashton Under Lyne OL7
 

Based at our Ashton site, the Internal Account Manager’s role is to retain, develop and grow customers within a defined account portfolio in excess of £1m. To sell the products and services available through the company in line with company policy and interest. To win, retain, develop and grow new customers within either a framework, and/or within an allocated contract base via telephone and marketing engagement activities. To achieve all Sales, IMU and Profit targets and comply with departmental and/or individual Success Criteria. To maximise the profitability of the customer portfolio by working with other internal key stakeholders, and through strong high level negotiation with the customer stakeholders. More specifically within role, the requirements are: 

• To develop customer agreed plans to maximise growth opportunities and to  increase profitability within all accounts allocated.

•To achieve Sales and GP targets and reach minimum performance and  activity standards as agreed by line management

• To identify and optimise opportunities to deliver new (share of wallet) business within existing accounts and frameworks

• To prepare and submit tenders for the supply of products and services and/or work closely with the internal Tender narrative and pricing teams in order that this is done effectively; plus retain all accounts through the tendering period, via the adoption of the highest levels of customer service and overall client relationship

• To comply with specific cash management objectives

• To maintain and deliver suitable levels of management information to both internal and external customers

•To maintain product pricing levels in line with specific profitability targets

•To develop, audit and renew networks and develop productive and effective  working relationships at all levels of the business, both internally and  externally

The ideal candidate will have:

• Preferably B2b Sales experience. 
• Experience in owning and managing/developing a customer base is   essential. 

• A good comprehension of the office supplies market place coupled with a  sound understanding of buyers’ motives would be beneficial.

• Excellent communication skills

• The ability to persuade and influence at a senior level

• To be entrepreneurial and commercially astute

• Exceptional organisational and planning skills

• Ability to cope with large pressures and setbacks

• Ability to analyse management information

• Will be dynamic, enthusiastic, energetic and confident

• Will be decisive, determined, perceptive and assertiveness
