A major industry leading Food Business, with a host of iconic brands, is seeking a highly ambitious Category Manager to drive the relationship with one of their top Grocery Multiple customers.
Our client is looking for a charismatic and determined individual to fill this key role. Reporting to the Category Controller, you will manage a £multi-million branded product portfolio.
To succeed in this role you'll be a people person who's looking to impress. A persuasive communicator and highly skilled multi-tasker, you will be educated to degree-level or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate an impressive knowledge of key retailers, brand performance and positioning.
As Category Manager you will:
- Manage relationships with our customers across a broad spectrum of contacts in a way which encourages growth.
- Conduct regular market leading reviews.
- Support the development of propositions for customer brands and the creation of category strategies.
- Track KPIs and support performance delivery.
- Encourage and deliver excellent in-store execution.
- Review and validate key commercial activities, including pricing and promotional strategies.
Interested candidates must have previous experience in a marketing / insight or category management role. They will be adept at data analysis with considerable understanding of effective merchandising, space planning practice, developing and implementing category strategies and of the financial measures affecting category performance. Our client is looking for a proactive, confident individual who's unafraid to challenge bad practice and is equally comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively.
