Job Details

A leading FMCG Business requires an exceptional Sale Director that can handle a sizable team and manage sales upwards of £250m. The business is well established with a strong profile across the UK grocery sectors. With three core sites you will be responsible for the commercial activities and supply from these operations, you will take the lead with all major customers and lead, develop and grow a team of 8 managers up to controller level and be an active member of the leadership exec.  Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Implement the full UK commercial Sales strategy
  • Control the P&L
  • Deliver top and bottom line growth
  • Lead the team and develop the culture
  • Support the innovation drive across the business

You profile.

Having already operated within leading FMCG organisations handling significant grocery business you will be ready for a challenge that will focus your business skills and leadership credentials for future roles. You will have a strong customer profile and excellent results behind you. It would be an advantage but not essential if you have both Branded and Own label experience. The core profile areas this client is looking for are:

  • Strong grocery trade experience- (JBP’s & Category)
  • An excellent sales pedigree
  • Very strong management skills- both up and down
  • Clear and precise communication
  • Strong potential to go further
  • An approach that is down to earth, pragmatic and  collaborative
