Job Details

Our client is a successful food manufacturer. Very much a leader in their cartegory. A growing, innovative business with an exciting product range and an excellent reputation in the industry.

The Role

Commercial Manager - Taking Full P&L of a valuable new account with a blue chip end user customer.

•    Commercial Strategy –Contributes to the commercial growth strategy, ensuring that this is in line with the overall business strategy. Responsible for the delivery of the strategy through retailer account plans.
•    Category Management - through the application of the principle of category management identify and implement opportunities to drive growth in the category. Develop, agree and deliver a category plan(s), ensuring this is in line with the overall business strategy.
•    Commercial Forecast - develop, own, review and deliver the commercial forecast, ensuring this is in line with the overall business strategy.
•    Communication - Responsible for effective and timely communication of all information, whether internally or externally with our customers.
•    Customer Relationships - Establishes strong customer relationships with the retailer team, and, overtime at senior buyer level.  Has regular contact with the customer(s) and vibrates to their needs.  
•    Customer Conscience –Understands the needs of the customer and ensures that the business as a minimum meets these.
•    Project Management –  Manage critical paths to ensure that launches and promotions happen on time, and that costs are minimised for lines delisting.  When appropriate manage projects identifying new business opportunities.
•    Cross functional Working - Co-ordinates the activities of Commercial, Development and Marketing across the retail account, using consumer insight too achieve growth plans.

The Candidate

•    National account management experience within food manufacturing.
•    Ideally managing valuable foodservice/end user account.
•    Degree educated.
