Regional Teritory Sales Manager - Manchester

A regional territory sales manager is required to represent an industry leading premium tobacco brand on a 6 month contract with the potential to be full-time.

This is a high profile position that requires the chosen candidate to have proven experience managing large teams and executing action plans /selling activities that relate to target group consumers and their consumption environment in line with overall brand contact strategy.

It would be a great opportunity to work for Phillip Morris as the possibilities are endless, although this is a contract position, there is scope that this will develop into a permanent role. 

About the ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate would have a proven sales background as well as experience managing multiple teams to achieve targets.
We’re looking for bubbly charismatic candidates that are capable building and maintaining relationships.

A large part of this role requires the individual to be able to research their target market and suggest possible events and establishments suitable to sell their products.
Therefore, the role requires a confident individual that has experience in researching and speaking to whoever relevant to grant access into bars / clubs / stores that are in line with their target market.

The candidate would also be responsible for ensuring that all promotional hostess staff that promote the product are in line with brand guidelines so that they do not in any way damage the brand image. 

You will be required to:

  • Implement consumer selling activities and trade support programmes to maximise consumer contacts, product trials, availability and visibility of brands to the defined target adult consumer at all different touch points  
  • Identify future opportunities in-line with the overall brand contact strategy for selling activities
  • Develop and maintain an accurate trade customer database within the defined territory on CRM system and ensure that all information required is captured and recorded.
  • Ensure excellent knowledge of the bar and nightclub market place and other potential opportunities for selling activities and consumer contact, to select best places and identify opportunities.
  • Report on key company and competitor activities in an accurate and timely manner

It will be your responsibility to:

  • Lead the planning, briefing, execution and reporting of all selling and consumer selling activities to ensure that the right activities are carried out at the right time and in the right place in the territory.
  • Coach, manage and supervise third-party teams to ensure optimal execution and report observation, ideas for improvement; this will happen often during anti-social hours i.e. evenings and weekends.
  • Ensure full compliance with marketing code, business conduct policy and other relevant internal policies and procedures as well as keeping abreast of the latest government legislations surrounding the industry in order to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure that all team activities build and maintain a solid image of the brand as responsible and most preferable business partner.
  • Optimize resource allocation through effective segmentation and targeting.
  • You will be expected to manage teams effectively and be a role model and ambassador of the brand in any situation.
