The Role

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Commercial Professional to join our team at Head Office in the Midlands. The role will focus on developing ongoing relationships with major Retail groups and chains throughout the UK at senior and Board level as part of our ongoing strategic vision.

The main focus of the role will be to shape the future relationship of the business with the Retail sector. The successful candidate will seek to maximise existing revenue channels whilst establishing new routes to market in the Grocery, Food, Drink, DIY, and general retail sectors.

The Candidate

We are seeking an outstanding business professional with a broad range of finely developed commercial skills.

Highly numerate, you will have strong influencing ability, first rate negotiation skills, and fine attention to detail. Extensive experience in the management of long and complex sales cycles and/or commercial projects will be advantageous as would exposure to asset based sales offers.

You will be a charismatic leader who enjoys networking and is comfortable in social situations with C level colleagues and customers. Strong formal and informal one to one and group presentation skills are an essential requirement.

We are looking for a driven and ambitious professional looking to move their career to the next level. Ability is more important than previous experience but a clear understanding of Logistics, Packaging, FMCG and/or Supply Chain would be beneficial. A clear understanding of Major Brands is a must.
