Senior Buyer - Fruit

As one of the UK's most successful retailers, loved by their customers for their amazing choice of products and exceptional value, our client is looking for a hardworking, talented and passionate Fresh Food Procurement and Buying professional looking for job where no 2 days are the same and where the pace of change lies at the heart of their success.
In this role, the job-holder will be required to source and develop a range that meets with a demanding customers needs in order to maximise sales and margin, whilst minimising waste. The effective management of a diverse international supplier base is vital and it is highly desirable that you have experience of working with packaging and marketing teams to produce a cutting edge range without compromise of quality or availability.
To be considered for this vacancy, you must have a proven track record of success in the procurement and buying of a fresh food range within a retail, wholesale or foodservice environment, where you will have developed first class negotiation and influencing skills as well as the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills along with an outstanding attention to detail.
