SENIOR CATEGORY MANAGER

Location - 2/3 days Hull, Yorkshire

Salary - Dependent upon experience + CAR + PACKAGE

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with one of the fastest growing branded & own label food manufacturers in the UK for a passionate Senior Category Manager to join the team. This is a dynamic, team focussed business who have won multiple awards across all the food categories they currently operate in, as well as winning awards for the quality of the business from an employee perspective!

This role involves all aspects of the category process including conducting range reviews, making recommendations, analysing data and presenting to the retailers, however, it is different because it has evolved as a result of ongoing growth. This role offers you the chance to develop and implement a strong category plan based on customer, consumer and shopper insights. In this position you will be expected to manage budget allocation across customers and categories, manage commercial performance of NPD launches and evaluate and quantify channel issues and priorities. It is an opportunity to come in and shape the future of the team with plenty of room for autonomy and development alongside. This role would suit someone who is looking to progress to the next level within the next 1-2 years, so it is vital that you have aspirations to continue progressing upwards.

They are looking for someone who has a vested interest in the food industry and feels passionate about working within this discipline of FMCG. You will be a confident self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to achieve strong results in a challenging industry. It is also important that you have experience of using retailer and agency data systems as well as a good understanding of category marketing.
