Job Details

Our client is a truly global success story, with their brands being sold in over 200 countries. Right now, they’re looking for a consumer centric individual with proven leadership capabilities and a track record of success in a retail channel to join them as a Key Account Manager.

You’ll be working in a challenging commercial environment dominated by an ever-decreasing account base. Accordingly you’ll have to balance the demands of these accounts with the commercial aims & objectives of our client’s business. You’ll also be expected to live the company vision & strategy, set ambitious targets for yourself and your customers and maximise cross functional relationships to drive performance in accounts.

You will also:

  • Implement and maintain account plans to achieve agreed Availability, Visibility, Dialogue, Activation, market share & volume objectives for your portfolio
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date account file for all accounts within the portfolio and manage assigned portfolio budgets, submitting forecasts and actuals as required
  • Ensure all relevant company & account systems/processes are identified, understood & actioned to achieve excellence in execution.
  • Continuously monitor the Performance & Dynamics of accounts through data, consumer and market analysis, to identify and exploit business issues and opportunities
  • Develop strong business relationships with trade partners and internal departments.
  • Hold account performance reviews & continuously review account contact strategy, re-aligning as appropriate to deliver objectives and maximise business effectiveness.

As well as a strong understanding of consumer behaviour, market trends and brand portfolios, you will also need:

  • A high level of knowledge of Brand/Trade Marketing and the ability to build knowledge of your customers’ Strategy, Structure, KPIs and potential
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the flair to develop innovative new solutions to react to market conditions
  • An innate ability to think strategically, lead people and change and drive and own results
  • Strong PC skills, including EPOS reporting systems, plus the ability to integrate data.
