The opportunity 

We have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced International B2B Marketing Manager to join the business and lead the marketing function in supporting the Company’s on-going sales focus, continued growth and our exciting and ambitious future plans. 

The Marketing Manager will be required to develop a new International B2B marketing strategy to enhance engagement and communication with potential new and existing retail and wholesale customers. In addition the role will involve the development of sales tools, brochures, customer surveys, awards submissions and overseas exhibitions such as Sial and Anuga. The Marketing Manager will also be required to review the utilisation of social media to improve communication with customers, and develop a UK and International communication strategy aimed at different target audiences. As Marketing Manager you will be required to play a proactive role in supporting, developing and guiding the marketing team to achieve their full potential.

There will be a small element of travel involved in the role in the setup of overseas exhibitions.  The Company will consider flexibility towards homeworking for the right candidate, however the role will be classed as Grimsby based. 

The Ideal Person

To be successful in the role it is essential that you must have a number of years’ experience gained within a B2B International marketing role with a rounded ability across all aspects of the marketing mix including writing copy. You must also have a high degree of commercial acumen, with experience of writing and implementing UK and International marketing and communication strategic plans and budgetary development and management. You must preferably be from an FMCG environment. Degree educated and CIM qualified is imperative for the role.     

You must be up to date with current trends in marketing tools such as social media, and be able to demonstrate examples of where you have utilised these in your current or previous roles and how they have added value to the business.  As the role will include working on a number of business related projects such as a new Company website you will need to be able to demonstrate outstanding project management skills and the ability to work within a cross functional project team. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent relationship building and communication skills with the ability to present and influence Senior Managers within the business to your ideas.  In addition you also need to be able to demonstrate outstanding IT skills in Microsoft packages, InDesign and Photoshop.  In addition you must be able to identify and understand how marketing activity links into sales and market growth and implement key marketing metrics to measure this. You will also need to have a hands on approach with a collaborative and flexible working style.
