Job Details

Our client is a leader within their sector and due to their success in growing, shaping and advising on the sector they have been appointed category captain within Tesco PLC. To manage this growing relationship our client is looking for a Retail Analyst to work closely with Tesco PLC and drive the category initiatives forward and become a expert.

 

The role will report to the Commercial Controller and work in a very tight knit team of consumer professionals. The category has a vast range of suppliers both branded and private label which means category data and insight is a must to keep the growth and innovation high. The role will lead all category discussions and evaluation, feeding back to Tesco PLC and suppliers with all essential reports and initiatives.

 

The role demands attention for detail, enthusiasm and broad thinking. You must be able to pull clear insights from daily data but also think big picture and help create retail strategies for the entire sector. You will be able to work autonomously but also integrate with many levels of both suppliers and retail professionals. Retail Analyst / Junior Category Management experience is a must as is a clear understanding of category data such as Nielsen & Kantar.
