Senior Category Manager

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen with my client, a world-leading FMCG business based in the UK, for a Senior Category Manager to join their lively, energetic Category Management team. The business has a strong reputation for being an open, friendly place to work, and they are looking for people who can continue to reflect their strong values and dynamic culture.

This is a key role within the business, offering you the chance to develop and implement a strong category plan based on customer, consumer and shopper insights. In this position you will be expected to manage budget allocation across customers and categories, manage commercial performance of NPD launches and evaluate and quantify channel issues and priorities. The role also offers the opportunity to manage and nurture a small team of Category Managers, giving you the chance to enrich your man-management and mentoring skills.

The successful candidate will have relevant Category Management experience, a track record of success in FMCG retailer brand capacity, demonstrable experience of developing category relationships with Top 4 Major Mults and in participating in range reviews and developing rationale for new listings, competent at analysing and interpreting data to formulate clear commercial strategies and identifying new opportunities. Most importantly they are looking for a personable professional with a history of building and developing relationships across all levels.
