The Business

Our client is a world leading drinks business, boasting a fantastic portfolio of premium brands. A rapidly growing international and domestic player, this forward thinking business is looking to push on in what is a key channel in building their brands.

The Role

The successful candidate's role will be to; deliver the company’s objectives within the channel, maximising business opportunities with designated key customers to ensure delivery of short-term financial results, balanced with long term profit growth for the channel.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, it will be the NAC’s responsibility to proactively manage the Leased & Tenanted team, whilst retaining contact with key figures in the customer base, establishing strong relationships that deliver the business plans and JBPs.

A key element to success in the role will be to effectively manage the team and the P&L simultaneously, in order to deliver the annual budget. This will be achieved by strategically identifying opportunities to build new business, through both existing and new customers, or routes to market.

Due to the national coverage of the role, it is a home based position and will involve extensive travel across the country. However with it being a senior role within the channel there will be time spent in the office – one of the business’ key European hubs.

The Person

An On Trade (L&T, Regional Brewers in particular) expert who has a passion for the drinks industry, is likely to succeed in this position. An entrepreneurial thinker familiar to premium drinks, who is orientated by success through brand building, would make for a fitting candidate. Someone who is self-starting, takes responsibility and works well using initiative will have an advantage in this role.

You will be a naturally strong negotiator and influencer, who is both personable and a strong presenter. The ideal candidate will be an individual who has a successful track record with delivering the P&L on key national accounts in the channel, as well as wider industry awareness.

Man management is also essential; whether that be developing one direct report or a team of 10. The ability to coach, develop and ultimately motivate individuals will be a key factor in this role.

Having previous or current exposure to the drinks industry, preferably with an interest in premium brands, is highly desirable.
