This is a hugely exciting opportunity to be part of growing International Fresh Sector business that is highly rated within the major retailers as well as the global supply base. With a clear vision and strategy for growth they are now looking for a highly talented and experienced Commercial and Marketing “expert” to take on P&L responsibility for the commerciality of the business whilst managing a team of people including sales, category and product development functions.

As market leaders within a niche range of high value fresh produce, their success over the last 20 years has been driven through the innovative development of key brands, strategic partnerships and a sheer passion and determination to be the best.

Classically trained with strong FMCG Commercial skills, you’ll need an in-depth understanding of the top Grocery Multiples, ideally with a mix of brand and own-label experience, and the type of people management and strategic development skills that ensure all are working to the common goal of driving substantial brand growth.

- A strong communicator and relationship builder with great entrepreneurial flair and be able to demonstrate a successful commercial track record of growth with key retailers customers and joint venture partners.

- Genuine ability to build mutually successful and long term retailer relationships, across a varied and wide ranging customer base throughout the UK and the EU.

A self-starter with a willingness to travel, ambitious with high levels of motivation and energy, able to demonstrate negotiation and interpersonal skills and inspire others.

The Role:

- You will be responsible for successfully managing an already-established customer base and ensuring total customer satisfaction at all times. We need you to drive the “brand” and innovation fuelled growth via new business development activities and strategic development within the UK and Mainland EU.
- Having developed the Commercial business plan with the Board, you will be responsible for building the team further to help support you with the delivery of the agreed innovation strategy within the market both for existing
products and new commercial avenues that you will instigate.
- As part of your role and in conjunction with the main parent companies marketing team, you will develop a marketing and promotional plan to raise awareness of the brand/s and products on-going to create further profitable growth.

The Person we want to see:

- An individual with a very strong commercial/ marketing background within the FMCG, consumer branded products and/or fresh produce sectors.
